Today we looked around Hastings Museum and Art Gallery it was very interesting. We looked at lots of pictures and art, I enjoyed all of it. I really liked the recycled peacock made from beer cans and bottle tops.

- Welcome to The Independent Artists. My name is Victoria and I am the tutor of the ASDAN Towards Independence Making Pictures course. The course is specifically for adults who deal with various challenges on a daily basis. I work at Bexhill College, East Sussex and this course is held at Jameson Mews site in Bexhill-On-Sea. ASDAN is the awarding body and Towards Independence Making Pictures is a 1 year course, held once a week during college term times. The Independent Artists Blog is the beginning of a creative journey for each learner in the group. My aim as the tutor is to encourage each learner in the direction of enjoying and appreciating art through a range of creative activities, which encompass the ASDAN ethos and fulfil the criteria for the Towards Independence accredited course. The group has complete ownership of this blog. All group members are keen to post as this is a place where they can express themselves and take pride in showing their work. So please, leave feedback. The blog will be the diary of the groups work so please visit when you have a spare minute, put your feet up, pour a glass of wine and enjoy the Bexhill "Independent Artists".
